Learnings From DIWALI !

Diwali !!! the festival of lights !!!

This is part 2 of my last post “Learnings from diwali
I would suggest you to read my previous post before going through this, as they are interlinked with each other.

The lightings of multicoloured lamps suggest that, though we have different mentality of people in our family, together we gel well and diversity is the key to uniqueness..

The rangolis, drawn by lady members suggest that they are the key to the future, just as the visitor is happy before entering the home, seeing a rangoli. ART is their main FORTE and they can do it better than any one on this earth.

Firecrackers are burnt, they give away lights, while some give a deafening sound, other go high up in air to make a fantabulous scene. This shows that even if we have differences we should burn them apart and then see the further magic. It surely has a better light ahead.

Sharing the Firecrackers from elders is a unique sign, which shows that, elders are always ready to give away what they have and what they can for betterment of the future, the younger generation. And so, it rests upon us, how to take and use it to the best.

Meeting the business associates and taking the blessings of the older generation is like a thanks giving and making base for better progression of what we have at present. Sharing the JOY is like MULTIPLYING it many fold.

We (yes, including me) have been very myopic regarding the celebration of diwali and just kept in mind the celebration we had for the day or two. But the deep rooted motive should be passed on further. So just try and understand it to pass it on to the future.

Wish you all a very Happy Diwali..

Learnings From DIWALI!!!

Diwali !!! the festival of lights !!!

Yes, Diwali is the festival of lights and crackers !!
As a child and adolescent, I had always looked forward to Diwali, my favourite festival.

Not only firecrackers were the attraction, but also number of other things.

The lightings of multicoloured lamps and the lightening of firecrackers made it look like the most beautiful occasion on the earth.

The small candles and the beautiful rangoli’s drawn by sisters and bhabhis were an added attraction. They always gave a calm and soothing look, welcoming the visitors at home as well as at shop.

My Mother, the best cook in her own class, made wonderful sweets and the chatpatas, which I think was the main attraction of the Diwali.

My Father, always bought us the firecrackers which were equvi-distributed among we three siblings. He always accompanied us in the burning of crackers and keeping us safe. Though today he accompanies me in business and share his experiences and tricks of trade, those days were equally better as that of today.

As the only male child, I was out of crackers, sometimes even before Diwali and get that advantage of getting the crackers of my sisters to celebrate the main day of Diwali.

The worst thing that I hated was cleaning of my cupboard. That meant a gigantic task, which I thought should be done only once every decade:-)!! Still... no options on that, and had to do that.

On the occasion of Diwali and New year, now we follow the tradition of visiting the business associates, family members and friends (and their parents). And for some whom we cant meet, we have the facility of SMS’s and Super fast mails..

Also we distribute sweets and bonus to the workers on this holy occasion. As similar to all of you.

OOPS !!! with the flow of thought I forgot the main thing… the LEARNINGS from Diwali, but I feel good with it, lets keep the learning part from tomorrow. See you tomorrow on the same blog.

Till then wish you all a Happy Diwali.

The SEVEN WONDERS of HUMAN BEINGS !!!!

The SEVEN WONDERS of HUMAN BEINGS !!!!

The secondary school students in Delhi were studying the Seven Wonders of the World. At the end of the lesson, the students were asked to list what they considered to be the Seven Wonders of the World. Though there was some disagreement, the following received the most votes:

1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. The Taj Mahal in India
3. The Eifel Tower
4. The Panama Canal
5. The Statue of liberty
6. The Machu-picchu
7. The great wall of China

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student, a quiet girl, didn’t give her paper yet. So she asked the girl “ Do you have any trouble with your list??”

The quiet girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many."

The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have thought of, and maybe we can help."

The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:

1. to touch...
2. to taste...
3. to see...
4. to hear...
5. to feel...
6. to laugh...
7. and to love.

The room was so quiet, you could have heard a pin drop.

This story serve as a gentle reminder to all of us that the things we overlook as simple and ordinary are often the most wonderful - and we don't have to travel anywhere special to experience them.

Enjoy your gift called LIFE (Many gifts come with it as an add-on package)!!!

Some interesting facts !!

Hi Friends,

Every time I try to write about the life. Trying to match up the level of the most famous and the best in class writers for it.

Here's what the experts say about the LIFE...

"Life is a game of cards. The cards are shuffled and the hands are dealt. You must play your cards well" -- Eugene Hare

"Life is a play. It's not its length, but its performance that counts." -- Seneca

"Life is something like a trumpet. If you don't put anything in, you won't get anything out." -- W.C. Handy.

"A life is a simple letter in the alphabet. It can be meaningless. Or it can be part of a great meaning." -- Jewish Seminary

"Life is a daring adventure, or nothing." -- Helen Keller

"Life is an onion. You peel it off one layer at a time, and sometimes you weep." -- Carl Sandburg

"Life is what's happening while you're thinking about something else." -- AA saying

Answer to Yesterdays post!!

Hi friends,

There has been a pathetic response on this blog since past 10 days. I have found a new place to blog, which i will soon reveal to you all. I have already done as many hits on that in just 4 posts and even got the comments. I think to expect comment on this blog is like expecting snowfall at Jalgaon.

Newaz, the answer to my yesterdays question which was...

Something Extraordinary happened on May 6th 1978 at 12:34am what was that?

At that moment, the time, and day could be written as "12:34 5/6/78"

(date in english format)

Once in a life time for fewer. And yes never in lifetime of many. we Could see the same thing in the year 2078, If we survive.

Till then Keep rocking!!!

Part II - What would you do if you had nothing to do??

November 1st, 2007

Though I haven’t got any of your responses, but still I will not budge from my word. Will continue part II, of my previous post. I hope I need not repeat what I said earlier.

It’s an exercise meant to get you thinking about designing your life.

All our lives, we have been doing what comes our way or whatever we see our elders do. Even though we assume our lives to be completely in our control, but it isn’t so.
Actually the main problem with us (yes including me) is we do not exactly know what we want out of our lives. It isn’t that easy. Actually we are used to live simple and non complicated life. To think something out of box is a bizarre and also considered as taboo.

So we can just try to make some conscious effort to design our lives and lifestyles, isn’t it?

If you already are leading a very happy life and will do the same for life time, this might not be useful for you, but still you can give a shot to it to cross verify.

One of the simplest ways to do this is answering the questions, or might be the rejection is the best way for making a selection. (For making a question rejection type just replace $ with NOT.)

1. What’s $ important?
Asking yourself what is most important to you. What do you love doing? Who do you love spending time with? Make a short list of 4-5 things. Always remember, the best way to get things done is, clearly picturing what you want to achieve.

2. What’s $ your passion?
What do you love doing the most? Can it be a way you make your living? If you can make a career out of doing something you love, you will love your day. Dare to imagine that this could come true.

3. What’s $ your schedule?
Start with a blank page, and design your perfect day. Incorporate the short list of 4-5 most important things at the top, to ensure that you are spending your day doing what’s most important to you. Also include time spent working at your passion (from Question 2). Include an ideal routine, from morning till you go to bed.

4. What’s $ the way?
The path to reach your destiny, which you have decided can only be designed by you. It will serve as a blueprint to reach for building of your life. What changes would you need to make in your life to make that perfect day a reality? Be willing to consider drastic changes if necessary. Whatever time it takes, but you will surely reach destiny.

5. What changes you have $ made?
If we want future life to flourish, we have to make investment in present. Some things which are in your control can be bettered anytime, like the time to get off and on the bed, taking out time for your hobby and time for your family.

6. What is $ the end?
Keep a picture of your perfect day in the mind. This will lead like a benchmark. At the end of day compare and compel to strive ahead.

I am sure if we do this, there will be no idle time in our lives but our lives will become idols for all here on the earth.

This is the best way to do nothing and yet do everything. (Implication:- when we love to do something, we cannot be bored by doing that thing. It comes as a casual activity.)

Keep rocking.
